You play as white. The rest of the players are bots, which move randomly, unless they have an opportunity to capture one of your pieces. The bots will never pass up an opportunity to pick off one of your pieces, even if it means trading their queen for one of your pawns!
There are no traditional checkmates in this game; instead, capture a bot's king to knock them out of the game and turn their remaining pieces into gray remnants. These gray pieces are still capturable, but do not reward points.
The standard chess rules of checks do not apply in 'Capture The King': bots can (and probably will) ignore a check, even if their king is in danger. Kings therefore don't necessarily have to be trapped or forced into a corner to be captured - you can lose your king simply by not paying attention! In fact, you can even move your kings into a checked position, so beware!
The absence of official checks also means players may castle out of, through, and even into check.
Last player standing wins; the objective is to capture every other king on the board. The game ends immediately if your king is captured.
Pawns promote on the 11th rank to a queen worth one point.
Points aren't as important because the last player standing wins no matter what. However, if you'd like to maximize your final score, here's how much each piece is worth:
